The V-Zon 9109D is the UK version of the popular USA model Coby DVD 9109. As a portable DVD it might be forgiven for being just another entry to the market. However, it is a sleek black unit, most recognised by its swivelling screen, which means it pivots both horizontally as well as vertically. This makes it a brilliant choice for in car use, as it can be positioned anywhere convenient and the screen can be positioned for viewing just about anywhere.
The 9 inch screen can either be viewed upright, or spun through 180 degree and closed to be viewed just like a tablet computer, just think iPad! The definition on the screen is excellent, something which can be lacking in models aimed at car use. Under normal conditions, expect at least two hours from the battery, although the manufacturer says two and a half we found it fell a little short of this claim. Still, there's not many movies lasting much more than two hours so this should be fine.
The V-Zon 9109D is supplied with both mains power cables and in car versions, so assuming your car as a power outlet (cigarette lighter to most of us) the two and a half hour charge isn't going to be an issue. One nice addition thats not included as standard is a mounting unit for the front seat headrest, which is available for less than a fiver so worth a mention.
If you're looking to keep the kids entertained in the back of the car on long journeys you could do a lot worse than the V-Zon 9109D, and if you struggle to get one, try looking for the Coby DVD 9109 which is the equivalent US model - you should be able to get a cheap power adaptor for UK use.
